EXAMPLE OF PREVIOUS WORK:

Peace from the grassroots, Short-term training on peaceful conflict resolution

The training course “Peace from the Grassroots” aimed to provide 27 youth workers with tools to empower young people both in EU and Neighboring Partner Regions to explore their own understanding of conflict and how to establish interventions based on participation to contribute to the transformation of conflicts in which violence is already happening. We empowered youngsters to take an active role in transforming conflicts at all levels, from organizational to local and international level, with a special focus on participatory processes and activities. Therefore, a basic introduction into peace studies set the starting point to analyze conflicts. Based on this introduction, the participants shared their realities, focusing on the role of youth in their context. This they did thorugh non-formal learning tools facilitated by a professional trainer. Thorugh this they found a space to set up new initiatives and projects in their local contexts, distributing and teaching the knowledge of non-violent communication and cultural differences effect on conflict-perspectves.
