Call for Participants to Beirut

Silba - Initiative for Dialogue and Democracy is seeking TWO participants to participate in the training course, “The Re-Actors: Theatre Unmaking Youth Extremism and Radicalization”, in Beirut, Lebanon from the 8th - 15th of November 2019.

 

The aim of this training course is to use theatre as a tool to limit the inactivity and polarization of young people at risk of social exclusion. During this course, you will have the opportunity to meet and exchange practices and knowledge with 20 other youth workers from 10 European and MENA countries. The project is co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus Key Action 1 (Learning Mobility of Young People and Youth Workers).

Profile of Applicants:

 

  • Becoming reliable in young people’s eyes, in order to establish a dialogue and find the causes of their discomfort.

 

  • Developing knowledge and skills related to theatre, to creating new practices, tools and projects working as a deterrent to youth Extremism and Radicalization.

 

*Optional yet very appreciated, is the possess of learning and working experiences, in fields linked to Theatre, Human Rights and Social Inclusion, such as: Cooperation, Political Sciences, Literature, Psychology, Anthropology, etc.

No prior experience is necessary and Danish nationals or internationals living in Denmark are welcome to apply!

 

The participation fee is 35€, with transportation to Lebanon fully reimbursed of up to 325€.
